1st ROUND: ONLINE SELECTIONS

Online selections will take place from 10-31 January 25 January - 20 February 2012.

Public Voting As with every edition of the Rototom Reggae Contest, online voting will be available and more than welcome. Only one vote per country/region will be allowed.

**Remember: you can vote only once; the control system doesn't allow multiple votes from the same person, email, computer, or IP address. Votes that are not submitted according to these guidelines will not be confirmed. Several violations of this rule will penalise the band, possibly resulting in disqualification

Technical Jury A technical jury will be appointed to judge the bands. Jury members will award each band with “quality marks” (from 0 to 10 – 10 is the maximum score). The full list of the jury members will be announced before end of January 2012.

Final Classification: The ranking of each selection will be published online by February 10 February 28, 2012. The final heat for each national contest will take into account the scores awarded by the technical jury (quality marks) and the online votes by the massive (number of votes). The votes of these two categories will be converted into percentages and added up. In order to ensure equal weight upon the final evaluation, the preferences expressed online will account for 20% of the final marks, and those of the technical jury will make up the remaining 80%.

The artists can campaign to promote their songs with promotional messages through positive and peaceful.
